Halved’s mathematics teaching material is built on published material from the Department for Education, and the Halved product includes software and a font made by others. This page names that material and those components, says who made them, and states the licence Halved uses each under. It is a list of sources and notices, and nothing on it is a statement about what Halved teaches.
Curriculum sources
| Source | Publisher | Licence | What Halved uses from it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teaching mathematics in primary schools, which contains Mathematics guidance: key stages 1 and 2 | Department for Education, 2020 | Crown copyright, Open Government Licence | The mathematics method statements it sets out, keyed to the ready-to-progress criteria it defines. |
| Teaching mathematics at key stage 3 | Department for Education, September 2021, developed with the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) | Crown copyright, Open Government Licence | The core concepts it sets out, with the teaching guidance and the common difficulties recorded against each. |
| The national curriculum in England: primary and secondary programmes of study | Department for Education, 2013 and 2014 | Crown copyright, Open Government Licence | The year group and key stage structure of the programmes of study, and the statutory word lists published with them. |
Curriculum licence
Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Halved uses the text of these documents. It does not use their illustrations or diagrams. The key stage 3 guidance names its NCETM illustrations, a Gapminder graph and extracts from Standards and Testing Agency past papers as third-party material excluded from the Open Government Licence; Halved holds none of that material.
Software and fonts used in the Halved product
This section is separate from the curriculum sources above. These components are part of the Halved product, not of its teaching material, and the Open Government Licence does not apply to them.

The licence text is published at openfontlicense.org, which is where the address given in the notice, scripts.sil.org/OFL, now leads.
